Web Archive File Format

InfoGrid applications may be distributed as Java Enterprise Edition Web Archive files with extension .war.

If deployed to a standard JEE server like Tomcat, no uncompression or unpacking is required. Instead, use Tomcat's manager application to upload and deploy the WAR file.
