Distributed data management

InfoGrid incorporates many principles of decentralized system design.

Data management in InfoGrid may be distributed on two levels:

• By means of the Store abstraction, MeshObjects may be stored in a distributed fashion, such as using grid storage. This applies regardless how many Nodes comprise a particular InfoGrid application.
• Multiple NetMeshBases may be federated via the XPRISO protocol. Each NetMeshBase may or may not store its content in a centralized or decentralized fashion, using any storage technology it chooses.
